How You Can Help
You can transform the lives of men, women, and families in the Charleston area with your time, talents, resources, and prayers
Support The Mission Financially
Become a Light The Way Partner
When you become a Light the Way Partner, you match our guest’s program fees, covering the other half of the costs associated with our program.
Donate any amount to our general operating fund
When you donate, you help provide hot meals, safe shelter, addiction recovery, workforce development, and more services for those in need in the LowCountry.
Join the Brighter Together capital campaign
The Charleston area faces a critical challenge as the number of those experiencing homelessness is expected to double in the next 5 years. However, we can change this together.
Introducing Star Gospel Mission's
Brighter Together Campaign
Volunteer at the Mission
Whether you can spare a few hours a week or want to get involved in a specific project, your time and effort can have an impact in Charleston. From serving meals to participating in special events, there are plenty of opportunities to contribute.
Prayer Support
As we continue our mission to support and uplift those in need, we ask for your prayers for Star Gospel Mission and the individuals we serve.
Attend an Open House
You are invited to visit the Mission in person at one of our group Open House tours. At these one hour tours, visitors will have the opportunity to learn first hand about the crisis of homelessness and addiction in the Lowcountry as well as seeing first hand why Star Gospel Mission is finding great success in serving those in need. Each tour ends with a Q and A session with our Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Marion Platt.
Legacy, real estate, and planned gifts
Through the Star Gospel Mission, you can make a lasting impact on the Charleston community. Your planned gifts, whether through your will, real estate, or other assets, will help us continue our mission of providing meals, shelter, and support to those in need. Your generosity ensures that future generations will benefit from our programs and services, creating a brighter future for all.
